By Ship

It takes about 14 to 20 hours to reach Lakshadweep Islands by waterway. The four passenger ships - MV Minicoy, MV Bharat Seema, MV Tippu Sultan and MV Amindivi sails from Lakshadweep to Cochin. These ships offer air conditioned deluxe and first class cabins and other facilities for guests.

By Air

An airport is located in Agatti in Lakshadweep. Helicopters are operated from Bangaram to Agatti. But this facility is available only during monsoon. But the service is available round the year from Agatti to Kavaratti. Lakshadweep is connected to other parts of India and abroad by the Cochin International Airport. A number of flights are operated from Cochin to major cities of India and other countries. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Agatti from Cochin. Flights are operated 6 days a week.
