How to reach Taj Mahal

The city of Agra is located to the south of Delhi, the capital of India. The distance between the 2 cities is about 200 km. Tourists can reach Agra by train, air or bus. Mainly metropolitan cities like Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata are well connected with Agra.

By Air

The distance of Agra Airport from the center of the city is 7 km. Many airlines operate direct flights from major cities of India to Agra. Tourists can take chartered flights to reach Agra as there are no direct international flights to the city. From Delhi it takes only 40 minutes in a flight to reach Agra.

By Rail

The city of Agra is well connected with other major cities of India by rail. From Delhi tourists to Agra can take railways like Taj Express, Rajdhani and Satabdi. Traveling to Agra, the historical city in the famous Palace of Wheels can be an elegant experience of lifetime.

By Road

The distance of Idgah bus stand from the city center is about 3 km. Many tour operators offer bus service to this city. The approximate time required to reach Agra from Delhi is about 4 hours. Private taxis and luxury tourist buses both can be booked to travel to Agra city.
