Timings and entry - fees to visit Taj Mahal in Agra

Taj Mahal remains open on all days for its tourists except than Fridays. According to the decision taken by the Survey of India, it remains closed on this particular day. Only visitors for afternoon prayers are allowed on Fridays.

Everyday Taj Mahal remains open from 6 in the morning to 7 in the evening. Foreigners are required to pay Rs 970 to visit Taj Mahal. To enjoy the spectacular view of Taj Mahal at sunset and sunrise, one is required to pay Rs 110 as entry fee. To visit this tourist place in Agra during the day, one is charged only Rs 20.

The climate of Agra in India is Tropical and of extreme type. Tourists willing to visit this splendid beauty of India should plan their trip during the months of March to April and anytime between October and mid of December. It is not advisable to visit Agra during the monsoon season spanning from July to mid weeks of September. The weather during April to June is very scorching in Agra. So the summer months are also better to avoid to visit this city.
