By Air

The nearest airport is in Coimbatore which is eventually linked to Chennai, Kozhikode, Bangalore and Mumbai.

By Rail

The nearest railway junction is Mettupalayam. The 'Nilgiri toy train' connects Ooty to Mettupalayam, at the foot of the Nilgiris. It is said that the construction in such difficult terrains was a challenging & near-to-impossible task. The ride through train gives a spectacular glimpse of the whole Ooty and makes the journey memorable forever.

By Road

The connectivity through roads is also comfortable. There is a regular bus service from Bangalore, Mysore, Coimbatore, Calicut, Kanyakumari, Thanjavur, Tirupathi and Cochin. Buses ply regularly to Mudhumalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Kotagiri, Coonoor and Doddabeta. As far as local transport is concerned, buses & taxis can be availed easily through the help of information centers.
