At Dwarkamai devotees can see a beautiful oil painting of Sai Baba. A Palkhi and a chariot are also preserved in the rooms of Dwarkamai. A small temple has also been constructed in this building. Devotees traveling to Shirdi should visit the holy place of Dwarkamai.
In Shirdi, one will get to visit the famous Samadhi Mandir of Shri Sai Baba. Once this temple belonged to a devotee of Sai named Shreemant Gopalrao. But later the temple came to be known as the Samadhi Mandir of Baba.
In the temple, the Samadhi of Sai Baba has been built with white marble. The railing of the Samadhi is well decorated and is also built of marble. The statue of Sai Baba is sculptured from Italian marble and it was put up in the temple in 1954. Sai Baba in the marble statue has been depicted as sitting on a throne. A graceful silver umbrella is placed over this statue. Inside the temple, pictures depicting Sai Baba’s life have been put up.
At 5 in the morning, a song known as Bhoopali is sung at the Samadhi Mandir of Shri Sai Baba in Shirdi. At 10 pm the temple is closed with another song known as the Shejarati. On certain occasions like Dassera, Gurupoornima and Ramnavmi the Samadhi Mandir of Shri Sai Baba remains open throughout the night.
