The best time of the year to be at Sunderbans National Park is during September to May. The weather of this region is humid and the climate is of Tropical type. During winter the average temperature can vary from 9.2 degree to 29 degree Celsius. The temperature range during the summer months is 37 degree to 42 degree Celsius. In the month of June monsoon starts in this region and ends by September.
It is advisable that the tourists visiting Sunderbans National Park should carry medicines and drinking water. Along with that, they should also carry sun hat, light clothes, boots with rubber sole and most importantly mosquito repellents.
Tourists planning a tour to the Sunderbans National Park and those want to visit the Tiger Project and Sajnekhali, need to take a prior permission from West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation, located in Kolkata.
They are also required to pay the fees to the forest offices. Generally for parking, the foreigners need to pay a sum of Rs. 150 and the Indian tourists have to pay Rs 15. Per day, Rs 1000 and other related expenses are charged for traveling in boat. A guide must also be taken and they charge more than Rs 200 from tourists.
